Pitchfork premiered the first track from the upcoming Willie Nelson tribute album, To Willie, by Phosphorescent earlier today. “Reasons To Quit” combines that classic country sound that no doubt graced the Nelson/Merle Haggard original (which I’ve never heard before, for shame) with the gauzy folk atmospherics and sedated drawl Matthew Houck & co. honed on 2005’s Aw Come Aw Wry and mastered on 2007’s brilliant Pride.
